چکیده

To monitor and detect the events of landslide, rock-fall along the banks of the Yangtze River in the Three Gorges area, the differential INSAR technique with corner reflectors (CR-Based INSAR) might be more effective than the conventional geological, and discrete GPS measurement techniques, conventional D-INSAR, as well as nature persistent scatterers method. Unfortunately, in most places of the world, the correlation between radar acquisitions degrades with time due to vegetation, climatic condition, or other surface property changes. In those areas only a few persistent point scatterers or even no any one can be found out. The corner reflectors, duo to their design, provide a very clear and stable target response (both amplitude and phase) to the radar at any acquisition time. They don’t suffer from de-correlation effects of conventional InSAR. Aside from the millimeter-lever measurement accuracy, the great benefit of this technique is the regular and remote monitoring and measuring without the need for repeated ground field visits and their associated costs. Using high resolution TerraSAR-X data the CR-Based INSAR technique is applied to monitor landslides in the Three Gorges area. The results prove that this measure method is useable in the non-coherent areas.

Landslide Displacement Monitoring with Split-Bandwidth Interferometry: A Case Study of the Shuping Landslide in the Three Gorges Area

Landslides constitute a major threat to people’s lives and property in mountainous regions such, as in the Three Gorges area in China. Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry (InSAR) with its wide coverage and unprecedented displacement measuring capabilities has been widely used in landslide monitoring. However, it is difficult to apply traditional InSAR techniques to investigate landslides ha...

Slow-moving Landslide Monitoring with Multi-temporal Terrasar-x Data by Means of Dinsar Techniques in Crotone Province (southern Italy)

The Differential SAR Interferometry (DInSAR) is one of the most powerful devices for monitoring deformation processes on the Earth surface. Here, a dataset of TerraSAR-X StripMap imagery covering almost the whole Crotone province territory, located in the south of the Italian peninsula, has been selected and processed. The time span goes from April 2008 to June 2010. In this work, two different...

Determination of the displacement rate of the Masouleh landslide for management of landslide risk by Radar Interferometry

One of the most common natural phenomena occurring in mountainous regions of the world is landslide which causes critical damages and is considered as a natural disaster.  Iran is a country which annually suffers from this disaster and its consequent damage of about 500 billion Rial. Over the last 15 years, an increasing number of researches have aimed to demonstrate the applicability of the im...

Landslide monitoring by combining of CR-InSAR and GPS techniques

Considering the limitations related to the landslide monitoring by Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) technique, the method of integration of Globe Positioning System (GPS) with Corner Reflector Interferometric SAR (CR-InSAR) techniques is proposed in this paper. Firstly, deformation in radar line-of-slight (LOS) direction is optimized by introducing the GPS-measured height and at...

Potential of TerraSAR-X Interferometry for Monitoring Ground Deformation Due to Civil Infrastructure Construction

The TerraSAR-X SAR system provides high spatial resolution and geometric accuracy imagery which supports well the mapping of the 3-D structure of the city and its motions (4-D). In this work, we have evaluated potential of the very high resolution (VHR) satellite observations for monitoring and detecting ground deformation due to largescale civil infrastructure constructions. Two case studies w...
